Fashion and movement within a wooded landscape.
PROJECT NOTE
In the Woods turns the forest into a stage for both fashion and movement. Black embellished fabric echoes branches and shadow; a pale dancer stretches across exposed roots; the body later meets the road with the same physical tension. The landscape is never passive background. Trees, roots, uneven ground and filtered light determine how the figure can stand, fold or move. The series grows from that resistance between a styled body and a place that cannot be smoothed out.
